OverviewEach convention center faces numerous and constantly changing challenges as exhibitor's requirements continue to evolve. While a simple phone line to an exhibitor's booth would have met their needs a decade ago, now they want Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). Dial up connections are a thing of the past and high speed wireless is now a standard. As these communications and data requirements evolve, so to do the technological services the sites must provide in order to attract and retain their clients. Some sites have decided to provide this technology backbone themselves, buying the equipment and hiring their own staff to manage the process. Others have elected to seek qualified providers to design, install and maintain the technology. I am proud to say that CCPI is one of the very few companies that are structured to work with both business models. We have clients who choose to control their own technology system. We work with these clients to advise them on industry trends, to analyze their equipment and to assist them in marketing their services to exhibitors. For more on this please also see the Marketing Solutions section of this site. We also have clients who prefer to contract with us to design, install, maintain and market the entire technology delivery system for them. We invest our own capital to purchase the latest in hardware and software to keep the site among the leaders in technology solutions to the needs of their exhibitors. Internet ConnectivityCCPI offers scaled Ethernet services at all of our sites. We understand the critical roles of speed, reliability, and data security in the success of the hospitality business today. That is why we expertly engineer and manage our network to provide industry-leading network reliability and quality. We use best-of-class equipment, monitored live 24 x 7 x 365 locally and from our national network operations center. CCPI is the only provider to offer "scaled Ethernet services" at all of our sites. This means your clients and visitors have a host of options to choose from when selecting their Internet connection and are not locked in to a high-priced shared T1 connection. They can choose different levels of bandwidth based on their needs and pocketbook, leading to more satisfied clients along a more profitable bottom line for your site. We have also pioneered the use of high-speed fiber Ethernet WAN connections capable of delivering bandwidth solutions of from 1Mbps to 100Mbps. These provide the flexibility needed to deliver state-of-the-art high-speed services in a cost efficient, reliable manner to the client. Hardwire Networking"Wireless" is the buzzword in the hospitality industry today, and CCPI provides comprehensive wireless solutions at each of our sites, but if you need tough, reliable service, with mission critical capabilities, wired services are still the way to go. In consultation with industry experts, CCPI has chosen to use best-of-class equipment along with proven high-profile technology providers to supply the equipment and services that make up the networks at our sites. Our networks are tested and re-tested for reliability and performance. Security is critical so CCPI engineers our networks to offer the best security in the industry today; yet at the same time allowing the network flexibility necessary to meet the diverse demands of our many clients. By carefully listening to exhibitors and show managers, we continue to offer new products and services that make it easy for our clients to conduct business anywhere in the world from inside CCPI facilities. Wireless NetworkingBeing tethered to a booth or room is no longer good enough for today's exhibitor or event planner. Guests today want their Internet access unplugged - for use "anytime, anywhere." Wireless networks, however, do present challenges, including:
Wireless service is an entry level service ideal for web surfing and checking web based email. CCPI's wireless networks can be accessed throughout each of our facilities by using a WiFi compatible 802.11 a / b /g network card. CCPI offers two levels of wireless service:
NOTE: Wireless service is inherently vulnerable to interference from other devices that transmit similar radio frequency signals or that operate within the same frequency spectrum. CCPI cannot guarantee that interference will not occur. We do not recommend wireless service for mission critical services such as product presentation or demonstrations. For demonstrations or to present products and other mission critical activity, via the Internet, CCPI highly recommends customers(s) purchase hardwired services such as Shared Ethernet or Dedicated Ethernet services. All of this at no cost to you!! Sound too good to be true? . . . it's not, we do it every day at each of our sites! |
